Support A Syrian Trans Woman in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq

Hi!

We are in contact with A, a Syrian trans woman who has been displaced from her home. A. left Syria in the last year, seeking a safer place to stay, and arrived to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Instead of finding safety she experienced harassment, torture and sexual abuse. She was able to flee again from the perpetrators, but is in urgent need of support. She is at risk of forced deportation and continued violence, and struggling to meet her basic daily needs.

We are fundraising for her living costs, help to provide a little bit more security, and give her room to consider her next steps. We have already managed to raise $1000 to meet immediate needs, and with your help we want to raise $3000 more to keep her safe in the months ahead.

This will cover four months of rent, utilities and basic living costs in a secure location ($750/month).
