I Skandinaviens största hamn (Göteborgs hamn) bygger företaget Swedegas en terminal för fossilgas. De vill ansluta terminalen till stamnätet, vilket skulle innebära en inlåsning i fossilt beroende i minst 40 år framåt.
En riktigt klimatkass idé!

In Scandinavia's largest port (Port of Gothenburg), the company Swedegas is building an import terminal for fossil gas. They want to connect the terminal to the Swedish gas grid, which would create a lock-in for fossil fuels dependency for the coming 40 years. A terrible idea!

Sveriges regeringen förväntas ta ett beslut i höst - att tillåta eller stoppa fossilgasimporten. Vi kan inte lita på att de fattar rätt beslut. Vi behöver visa vägen och agera när ingen annan gör det.

The Swedish government is expected to make a decision this fall - to allow or to stop these fossil gas imports.
We can't rely on them to make the right decision.
We need to claim the power of the people.

Keep all fossil fuels in the ground!

Fossilgas (ofta kallat "naturgas") är ett fossilt bränsle. Dess utvinning drabbar samhällen hårt runt om i världen, och den har stor klimatpåverkan. Fossilgas består huvudsakligen av metan, en växthusgas med minst 86 gånger högre uppvärmningspotential än koldioxid. Metan lägger ut i atmosfären i samband med utvinning, transport och bunkring av fossilgas - så dess klimatpåverkan har nyligen beräknats till minst så hög som kol och olja.

Fossil gas (often called "natural gas") is a fossil fuel. Its extraction hits local communities hard, and it has a large climate impact. Fossil gas consists mainly of methane, a greenhouse gas which impacts climate change at least 86 times more than CO2. Methane leaks into the atmosphere during extraction, transport and storage of fossil gas - so its total climate impact gas has recently been calculated to be at least as high as that of oil and coal.

The donations raised here will be used to fund our outreach materials and platforms.
But since we are short on time we have set the donation goal lower than it actually needs to be.

Firefund (like many other crowdfunding sites) uses an All-or-nothing model, meaning if we don't reach our goal your donation won't be transferred.
Just to be clear - organising a mass action costs a lot of money.
Therefore we encourage you to keep donating even if we have reached 1.500 EUR.
