Στην κύπρο υπάρχουν πολλές εθνοτικές και θρησκευτικές κοινότητες. Οι δύο μεγαλύτερες είναι η ελληνόφωνη κυπριακή κοινότητα και η τουρκόφωνη κυπριακή κοινότητα. Υπάρχουν επίσης, πολλές κοινότητες μεταναστών και μεταναστριών εργατών/-τριών, όπως και σε όλη την ευρώπη. Παράλληλα, υπάρχει έντονο πρόβλημα με τον εθνικισμό και το ρατσισμό. Οι φασίστες έχουν αποκτήσει αρκετή ισχύ λόγω του ότι το αντιαποικιακό αντάρτικο ενάντια στην αγγλία οργανώθηκε κυρίως από ελληνόφωνους κύπριους εθνικιστές (ΕΟΚΑ) και στη σύγχρονη εκδοχή τους, οι νεοφασίστες συχνά εκμεταλλεύονται αυτή την παρακαταθήκη. Επίσης, λόγω του ότι, μετά τα τραγικά γεγονότα του 1974, το μισό νησί ελέγχεται από τον τουρκικό στρατό και το άλλο μισό ελέγχεται από το κυπριακό κράτος με τα δύο κομμάτια να διαχωρίζονται με σύνορα, ενώ ύπαρχει έντονη στρατιωτική παρουσία. Πιο συγκεκριμένα εκτός από τα δύο αυτα καθεστώτα έχουν στρατιωτικές βάσεις: ο αγγλικός, ελληνικός, τα ηνωμένα έθνη (un). Επίσης, κάποια μικρά κομμάτια της κύπρου βρίσκονται υπό την πραγματική κατοχή της αγγλίας κυρίως για στρατιωτικούς σκοπούς και το νησί ήταν ανέκαθεν έρμαιο δυτικών γεωπολιτικών συμφερόντων. 

Δεδομένου της περίπλοκης κατάστασης και σε συνδυασμό με τις αφίξεις των ξενιτεμένων, οι φασίστες έχουν αναπτύξει μια έντονα επιθετική στάση απέναντι στους μετανάστες και τις μετανάστριες. Τα πογκρόμ, οι επιθέσεις και κλοπές είναι μερικά παραδείγματα που διαδραματίζονται κλιμακωτά, με τις πλάτες του κράτους. Το ίδιο κράτος δυσκολεύει τη ζωή των μεταναστών και μεταναστριών με την γραφειοκρατία, ενώ ταυτόχρονα οι δύσκολες συνθήκες που αντιμετωπίζουν τους αφήνουν εκτεθιμένους προς εκμετάλλευση από το κεφάλαιο.

Στις 16 Ιουνίου, το επίσημο φασιστικό κόμμα της κύπρου, ΕΛΑΜ (National Popular Front), οργάνωσε πορεία ενάντια στους μετανάστες και τις μετανάστριες. Δύο μέρες μετά το πολύνεκρο ναυάγιο της Πύλου δεν ντράπηκαν να κάνουν πορεία, ουσιαστικά επί πτωμάτων. Την ώρα της πορείας, άτομα μπήκαν μέσα στα γραφεία τους, πήραν έναν υπολογιστή, αναστάτωσαν το γραφείο του αρχηγού τους και φεύγοντας ζωγράφισαν δύο κυκλωμένα άλφα στον τοίχο. 

Δύο εβδομάδες μετά, η αστυνομία συνέλαβε συντρόφους μας. Η αστυνομία στηρίχθηκε σε φωτογραφίες και πληροφοριοδότες για να στήσει μια δικογραφία ενάντια στους συντρόφους μας. Η αστυνομία όμως, δεν σταμάτησε εκεί. Λόγω του ότι η δικογραφία που έστησε είχε πολύ αδύναμα στοιχεία, αποφάσισε να στήσει και μία έρευνα για τρομοκρατική οργάνωση. Προσπαθούν να μπλέξουν τους συντρόφους μας σε μια τρομοκρατική οργάνωση χωρίς καν να υπάρχουν "τρομοκρατικές" δράσεις ή τάσεις. Οι δικαστικές αρχές στηρίζουν τους μπάτσους σε αυτή την προσπάθεια να μας τρομάξουν και να καταστείλουν τους ανθρώπους του κινήματος. Αυτή η προσπάθεια καταστολής είναι προσπάθεια να γίνει το "antifa" τρομοκρατική ταυτότητα ώστε να μπορούν πάνω μας να κάνουν ότι θέλουν χωρίς κανένα νομικό όριο. 

Εμείς ξέρουμε όμως ότι δεν υπάρχουν μεγαλύτεροι τρομοκράτες από τους φασίστες και την συνοριακή αστυνομία, και δεν υπάρχουν μεγαλύτερα θύματα τρομοκρατίας από τους μετανάστες και τις μετανάστριες που έρχονται για δουλεία. Δολοφονίες, ληστείες, βιασμοί, εκφοβισμός, εγκλεισμός, καταστροφή περιουσίας είναι πιθανά ενδεχόμενα για ένα μετανάστη/-τρια που έρχεται στην Ευρώπη. Αυτό αποδείχθηκε από τα πρόσφατα πογκρόμ, όπου οι φασίστες με την ξεκάθαρη ανοχή της αστυνομίας, χτύπησαν και τραυμάτησαν κόσμο, κατέστρεψαν τα μαγαζιά και τα σπίτια του, απλώς επειδή είναι ξένοι και φτωχοί.  

Όλη αυτή η διαδικασία σύλληψης έχει ανεβάσει τα δικαστικά κόστη των ανθρώπων πολύ. Βοηθήστε μας να στηρίξουμε τους συντρόφους μας και να φωνάξουμε πως:

Support our arrested comrades, support the Cypriot antifascist struggle. 

Cyprus is home to many nationalities and religious communities- the two largest of these being the greek-speaking cypriot community and the turkish-speaking cypriot community. There are also many communities of migrant workers, as is the case in the whole of europe. In parallel to this though, exists a very serious problem concerning nationalism and racism- with the fascists having amassed considerable power. One of the reasons this has become possible is that historically the anti-colonial guerilla campaign against the English colonialists was primarily organised by greek-cypriot nationalists (EOKA)- and naturally their modern counterparts, the neo-fascists, have taken advantage of this heritage. Additionally because after the tragic events of 1974, half the island is controlled by the Turkish army and the other half by the Cypriot state- with both sides being divided by a strict border and there being a very strong general military presence on the island. To be more precise, besides these two regimes, there are: English, Greek, and UN military bases, with entire areas of the Island being under actual English sovereignty for military reasons- thus it becomes clear that the island has always been under the control of Western interests.  

With the existing complicated political situation and in combination with the arrival of migrant workers, the fascists have developed a strong aggressive stance against migrants in general. Pogroms, attacks and thefts are just examples of activities which has been growing exponentially- and with the backing of the state. The state itself and its bureaucracy has made the lives of migrants incredibly difficult and increasing their vulnerability to being taken advantage of by capital. 

On the 16th of June, the official fascist party ELAM (the National People’s Front) organised a protest against migrants. They had no shame in organising such a protest just two days after the tragedy of Pylos, essentially protesting on the dead corpses of the hundreds of migrants who had died at sea. While the protest was in progression though, some individuals managed to get into into their party offices- taking a computer, disturbing the office of the party’s leader and on their way out drew two circled As on the wall. 

Two weeks later, the police arrested our comrades, relying on photos and informants to build their case. The police, however, did not stop there. Since the case has many weak spots- they decided to set up an investigation about a potential terrorist organisation. They are trying to tie our comrades up into a terrorist organisation without there even being any ‘terrorist’ activities or tendencies to speak of. The judicial authorities are supporting the cops in this attempt to scare us and repress the people in our movement. This repression attempt is an attempt to make ‘antifa’ into a terrorist identity, so that they can overstep legal boundaries and have free reign while dealing with us. 

We however know that there are no larger terrorists than the fascists and the police, and that there are no larger victims of terrorism than the migrants who come here simply to work. Murder, theft, rape, intimidation, confinement, and the destruction of property are all potential fates for a migrant travelling to Europe. This has been proven by the recent pogroms- where fascists, with the clear tolerance of the police, hit and injured people, all while destroying their shops and homes- simply because they are foreign and poor. 

This entire process of arrest and the judicial costs that have followed have become a serious economic burden. Help us support our comrades and shout out:

Unterstützt unsere verhafteten Genossen, unterstützt den antifaschistischen Widerstand in Zypern. 

In Zypern gibt es eine Vielzahl ethnischer und religiöser Gemeinschaften. Die beiden größten sind die "griechischen" Zypriot*inn*en und die "türkischen" Zypriot*inn*en. Außerdem gibt es, wie in ganz Europa, viele communities von migrantischen Arbeiter*innen. Zugleich sind Nationalismus und Rassismus ein großes Problem. Die Faschisten haben viel Macht, weil der antikoloniale Guerillakrieg gegen England hauptsächlich von zypriotischen Nationalisten (EOKA) organisiert war und in ihrer modernen Version nutzen Neofaschisten dieses Erbe oft aus. Hinzu kommt, dass seit den tragischen Ereignissen von 1974 die Hälfte der Insel von der türkischen Armee und die andere Hälfte vom zypriotischen Staat kontrolliert wird, wobei die beiden Teile durch eine stark militarisierte Grenze getrennt sind. Darüber hinaus verfügen neben den beiden Regimen auch die britische und die griechische Armee, sowie die Vereinten Nationen (UN) über Militärstützpunkte. Auch gibt es einige kleine Teile Zyperns, die sich tatsächlich noch unter britischer Besatzung befinden, haupzächlich zu militärischen Zwecken, denn die Insel war schon immer Spielball westlicher geopolitischer Interessen.

Angesichts der komplexen Situation und im Zusammenhang mit den großen Migrationsströmen haben die Faschisten eine äußerst aggressive Haltung gegenüber Migrant*innen entwickelt. Pogrome, Angriffe und Diebstähle sind einige Beispiele dafür und finden, vom Staat gedeckt, in immer größerem Ausmaße statt. Derselbe Staat macht den Migrant*innen mit seiner Bürokratie das Leben schwer, während die schwierigen Bedingungen, unter denen sie leben, sie der Ausbeutung durch das Kapital aussetzen.

Am 16. Juni organisierte die offizielle faschistische Partei Zyperns, ELAM (Nationale Volksfront), einen Aufmarsch gegen Migrant*innen. Zwei Tage nach dem tödlichen Schiffsunglück von Pylos schämten sie sich nicht, praktisch über Leichen zu marschieren. Zum Zeitpunkt des Marsches brachen einige Leute in ihre Büros ein, nahmen einen Computer mit, verwüsteten das Büro ihres Anführers und malten auf dem Weg nach draußen zwei Anarchie-Symbole an die Wand.

Zwei Wochen später verhaftete die Polizei unsere Genossen. Die Polizei beruft sich auf Fotos und Informanten, um ein Verfahren gegen unsere Genossen zu konstruieren. Aber die Polizei beließ es nicht dabei. Da die angeblichen Beweise für den Fall, den sie aufgebaut hatten, sehr schwach waren, beschlossen sie, Ermittlungen gegen eine "terroristische Vereinigung" einzuleiten. Sie versuchen, unsere Genossen in eine terroristische Vereinigung zu verwickeln, ohne dass es überhaupt "terroristische" Aktionen oder Tendenzen gibt. Die Justizbehörden unterstützen die Bullen bei diesem Versuch, uns Angst zu machen und die Menschen in der Bewegung zu unterdrücken. Diese Repressionsbemühungen sind ein Versuch, die "Antifa" zu einer terroristischen Vereinigung zu machen, so dass sie mit uns machen können, was sie wollen, ohne dabei rechtliche Einschränkungen zu haben.

Doch wir wissen, dass es keine größeren Terroristen gibt als Faschisten und Grenzpolizisten, und keine größeren Opfer des Terrorismus als Migrant*innen, die zum Arbeiten hergekommen sind. Mord, Raub, Vergewaltigung, Einschüchterung, Inhaftierung, Zerstörung von Eigentum sind alles mögliche Folgen für eine*n Migrant*in, der oder die nach Europa kommt. Das haben die jüngsten Pogrome bewiesen, bei denen die Faschisten mit offensichtlicher Duldung durch die Polizei Menschen verprügelten und verletzten, ihre Geschäfte und Häuser zerstörten, nur weil sie Ausländer sind und arm.

Dieser ganze Prozess, sowie die Verhaftungen, haben die Anwaltskosten der Betroffenen sehr in die Höhe getrieben.

Il existe de nombreuses communautés ethniques et religieuses à Chypre. Les deux plus importantes sont la communauté grecophone chypriote et la communauté turcophone chypriote. Il existe également de nombreuses communautés de travailleur*euse*s immigré*e*s, comme dans toute l'Europe. Parallèlement, le nationalisme et le racisme posent un grave problème. Les fascistes ont acquis beaucoup de pouvoir parce que la guérilla anticoloniale contre l'Angleterre, qui était principalement organisée par des nationalistes grecophones chypriotes (EOKA) et, dans leur version moderne, les néofascistes exploitent souvent cet héritage. En outre, après les événements tragiques de 1974, la moitié de l'île est contrôlée par l'armée turque et l'autre moitié par l'État chypriote, les deux parties étant séparées par des frontières et une forte présence militaire. Plus précisément, outre les deux régimes cités, se trouvent des bases militaires : britanniques, grecques et des Nations unies (ONU). De plus, certaines petites parties de Chypre sont encore sous réelle occupation par le Royaume-Uni, principalement à des fins militaires, et l'île a toujours été une proie pour les intérêts géopolitiques de l'Occident.

Compte tenu de la complexité de la situation et de l'importance des flux migratoires, les fascistes ont développé une attitude très agressive à l'égard des migrant*ex*s. Les pogroms, les attaques et les vols en sont quelques exemples, qui se déroulent à une échelle de plus en plus grande, avec le soutien de l'État. Ce même État rend la vie difficile aux migrant*ex*s avec sa bureaucratie, tandis que les conditions difficiles auxquelles iels sont confronté*x*s les exposent à l'exploitation par le capital.

Le 16 juin, le parti fasciste officiel de Chypre, ELAM (Front national populaire), a organisé une marche contre les migrant*ex*s. Deux jours après le naufrage meurtrier de Pylos, ils n'ont pas eu honte de marcher, pratiquement sur des cadavres. Au moment de la marche, des personnes se sont introduites dans leurs bureaux, ont pris un ordinateur, ont desordonné le bureau de leur chef et, en sortant, ont dessiné deux alphas encerclés sur le mur.

Deux semaines plus tard, la police a arrêté nos camarades. La police s'est appuyée sur des photos et des informateurs pour monter un dossier contre nos camarades. Mais la police ne s'est pas arrêtée là. Comme le dossier qu'ils ont monté n'avait que très peu de preuves, ils ont décidé d'ouvrir une enquête sur une organisation terroriste. Ils essaient d'impliquer nos camarades dans une organisation terroriste sans même qu'il y ait d'actions ou de tendances "terroristes". Les autorités judiciaires soutiennent les flics dans cette tentative de nous effrayer et de réprimer les gens du mouvement. Cet effort de répression est une tentative de faire de "antifa" une identité terroriste afin qu'ils puissent faire ce qu'ils veulent de nous sans aucune limite légale.

Cependant nous savons qu'il n'y a pas de plus grands terroristes que les fascistes et la police des frontières, et qu'il n'y a pas de plus grandes victimes du terrorisme que les migrant*ex*s qui viennent travailler. Le meurtre, le vol, le viol, l'intimidation, l'incarcération, la destruction de biens sont autant de conséquences possibles pour un*ex migrant*ex venant en Europe. Les récents pogroms l'ont prouvé : des fascistes, avec la complicité évidente de la police, ont battu et blessé des personnes, détruit leurs magasins et leurs maisons, simplement parce qu'elles étaient étrangères et pauvres.  

Toute cette procédure d'arrestation a entraîné une augmentation considérable des frais de justice. Aidez-nous à soutenir nos camarades et à crier que :
